Honesty - displaying truthfulness and integrity; upright; not deceptive or fraudulent; sincerity.  

Proverbs tells us plainly that God does not like all forms of dishonesty, actually let's be brutally honest, not sugar coat it and read what Solomon wrote:

Proverbs 6:16-19 (NAB) There are six things the LORD hates, yes, seven are an abomination to him; Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood; A heart that plots wicked schemes, feet that run swiftly to evil, The false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers.

WHOA!!!!! dishonesty always works against us....others no longer trust us, no one ever wants to be called a liar, but most are pretty quick to point them out. Have you ever been lied to? How'd did it feel?"You learn that principles such as honesty and integrity are not the outdated ideals of a bygone era but the mortar that holds together the foundation upon which you must build a life." Author unknown     Pray, ask for help, when we feel we are backed into a lie, pray...God is truth, you can trust his Word to guide you.

Psalm 141:3 - Set a guard over my mouth, O Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips.

Proverbs 21:3 - A fortune made by a lying tongue is a fleeting vapor and a deadly snare.

Whatever is gained in a fleeting moment by a dishonest action, will not last... you will be discovered and lost and    trapped. Your integrity will be lost and difficult to gain back.
